The Cow Jumped Over the Moon

When we were younger
Counting stars till they fall
Wishing we could reach deeper
So they don’t have to be so far
We were foolish, and we loved it
Now we are older
The stars above swim under
Our heads are bigger
Getting bigger running deeper
We are foolish, we don’t know it

When we were younger
Counting the raindrops under
Under the sun in the sky
Flying higher than the high
We were clueless, and we loved it
Now we are older
Our thoughts are bolder
The clods on our fingers
Aren’t enough to bridge forgiveness
We are clueless, we don’t know it
